A Fun Day At Rumah Titian Kasih

It is good that sometimes we make time for the unfortunate ones. That's why when i received an invitation to spend a few hours at Rumah Titian Kasih, i know it's an opportunity not to be missed.

It's a Wall’s Paddle Pop event  "Release the Fun and Adventure in You with Paddle Pop and LEGOLAND Malaysia"

This event is a meaningful one as they galvanise the children to embrace their creative selves through an activity that they emulated from one of the rides in LEGOLAND Malaysia. To empower the children to do their very best, they thought it would be great to have a blogger mentor the children, and be a part of the activity to help them win special prizes!

“Childhood – the best time of one’s life, where fun and adventure flow freely.”

Holding strongly to this thought, Paddle Pop aspires to reinforce the sense of fun and adventure in children, and empower them to have a fulfilling childhood through an imaginative and creative mind.

To realise this, and in conjunction with Universal Children’s Day, Paddle Pop is bringing the LEGOLAND Malaysia experience to the children at Rumah Titian Kasih. Paddle Pop and LEGOLAND Malaysia hope to harness the children’s sense of creativity through an interactive experience that is bound to redefine ‘fun’ and ‘adventure’.  This is timely indeed as Paddle Pop celebrates its five-year partnership with LEGOLAND Malaysia as the exclusive ice-cream provider in the theme park.

Just a quick fact about Rumah Titian Kasih. It was founded in 1988 to shelter single mums and orphanage. This place is located near Taman Tasik Titiwangsa. If you would like to go there, once you arrive at the lake, you will surely find the way to the place. You can't miss it.

Anyway, the event was emceed by Azura Zainal (RedFm DJ). She's such a bubbly lady :)

Some of the kids at Rumah Titian Kasih.

There were games as one of the activity that day.. the aim is to collect as many wheels so that the kid can start making their own car using the Lego.

This part i stepped in!my team is Team 3..i know i sucked at creativity game but this kids were so energetic and excited.

See the guy with the spectacles? We had some outsider's help hehehhe..

at first i was kinda scared if they didn't like me but we ended up bonding!yeayyyy

It's time to test and race!

Ok. We did not win but it's ok..we had fun eating new ice-cream from Paddle Pop. Tornado Jelly! Its a strawberry flavored ice cream confection coated with grape flavored jelly..the kids surely loved it..but i prefer the one i had when i was small..the one with so many colors?rainbow??arrgghh forgot the name....yum yummmm

Seeing the kids i realized how lucky i am to still have my parents around. i got to chat with some of them and got to know not all of them are staying there..some of them are staying at grandmother' s or relative's house and only go to  Rumah Titian Kasih like few times a week when their guardian going to work and nobody to take care of them. But they seems happy and normal but who know's whats playing in their mind. But i believe God has better plan for them.

I loved to stay but had to leave as soon as the lunch started since my hubby was having backpain again..but we left with some souvenirs and 2 free ticket to Legoland! I didn't expect that!
